Trade Application Support Analyst
Job Description
Trade Application Support Analyst – Trading Floor (London)
About the Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, dynamic brokerage firm known for its expert structuring and execution capability across global markets. They're looking for a Trade Application Support Analyst to join their technology team, supporting a busy trading floor covering Listed Derivatives, FX, Swaps, and Bonds.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on support role providing day-to-day assistance for the trading applications and IT systems used across a busy London trading floor, ensuring platforms, connectivity, and infrastructure run reliably in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
You'll gain deep exposure to trading platforms, market connectivity, and the full trade lifecycle across front and back-office systems. The primary focus is trade application support — taking ownership of the day-to-day running of core trading applications, most notably Fidessa and Bloomberg, acting as first and second line point of contact for traders and brokers.
Alongside strong application knowledge, the role retains a core IT support element, covering desktop environments, dealer boards, and underlying infrastructure. This is a broad role suited to someone combining solid IT support fundamentals with genuine trading-application expertise.

Administer and support the Bloomberg Terminal estate, including user provisioning, entitlements, connectivity, and troubleshooting
Support trading of listed derivative contracts across major exchanges including CME, ICE, and Eurex
Support and troubleshoot FIX-based order flow and market-data sessions, interpreting FIX messages and logs and coordinating with counterparties and vendors
Monitor and maintain exchange, vendor, and counterparty connectivity and market-data feeds
Support the trade lifecycle from execution through to booking, investigating breaks and discrepancies across front and back office
Provide day-to-day support for desktop environments, dealer boards, and core server infrastructure, including Windows Server
Work with trading platform vendors, exchanges, and service providers to resolve incidents and enhance system functionality
Skills & Experience
Strong, hands-on knowledge of Fidessa in a support or operational capacity
Good working knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal, including administration and troubleshooting

Personal Attributes
Highly motivated and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of issues
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Reliable team player with good communication skills, able to work directly with traders and brokers under pressure
Able to prioritise effectively and remain calm and decisive on a busy trading floor
