Job Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Daily bank reconciliations.
- Checking and authorising payment batches.
- Liaising with banks, counterparties and clients where necessary.
- Dealing with client and payment queries as and when they arise.
- Matching and reconciliation of incoming funds.
- Ensure smooth and timely daily settlements for our clients and counterparties.
- Completing investigations to resolve accounting mismatches.
- Complying with AML regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Provide support with booking of FX transactions with counterparties.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and counterparties.
- Reconciliation of forward positions.
- Reconciliation of margin positions
- Chasing clients for incoming funds.
- Recommend changes to improve the overall effectiveness of the Settlements department.
Required Skills
- Excellent maths skills.
- Experience using Microsoft office.
- Experience with international payments
- Ability to prioritise tasks and organise own workload.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to work to deadlines.
- Detail oriented.
- Customer service oriented.
Personal Specification and Culture
- Experience in the foreign exchange industry preferred.
- Willing to communicate to the business at large.
- Collaborates across the business and works closely with the Head of Settlements and Settlements Assistant Manager.
