Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Salary: £60,000 + benefits

Overview

We are partnering with a high-growth, innovative organisation to recruit an Employee Relations & Payroll Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in supporting people operations and ensuring payroll excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, offering practical and compliant advice
  • Ensure adherence to UK employment legislation and HMRC requirements
  • Maintain and update HR systems, employee records, contracts, and documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in employee relations and payroll within a UK-based organisation
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and payroll compliance requirements
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience

  • Background in financial services, fintech, or a high-growth/scale-up environment
  • Familiarity with payroll platforms such as Telleroo or Paycircle
