Desk Assistant

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Primarily responsible for client/counterparty onboarding, monitoring market/credit risk, and general support on the desk.
  •  Monitor platform, client activity, liquidity management – generate relevant reports, identify and report behavioral changes.
  •  Programming skills will be used to automate simple desk tasks, progressing to building FX Option prices, electronic trading post trade reports, and rules-based trading algos.
  •  Working with back office and front office teams to ensure the speedy matching of FX trades.
  •  Booking voice trades.
  •  Various admin tasks.
  •  Onboarding of new clients and liquidity providers in the end-to-end process.
  •  Technical setup and optimization of trading tech.
  •  Build personal network with both clients (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Local Banks) and liquidity providers (Bank and Non-Bank/HFT).
  •  Once trained will be given greater responsibilities such as manually trading out of FX risk.
