Job Description

Atlas Developer

About the Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading financial firm that leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver liquidity to global markets and innovative, transparent trading solutions to clients. As a market maker, our client provides deep liquidity that helps create more efficient markets around the world, with market structure expertise, broad diversification, and execution technology enabling competitive bids and offers across thousands of securities, hundreds of venues, and dozens of countries worldwide.

Role Overview

The Development team behind our client's client trading infrastructure is a highly talented group of versatile software engineers serving hundreds of clients. As an Atlas Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain front-to-back trading infrastructure covering all aspects of the trading lifecycle, including order management, exchange connectivity, smart order routing, internalisation, and clearing.

This includes designing and building software within existing trading systems, and improving the scalability, performance, and efficiency of the infrastructure.

They're looking for self-directed, passionate developers with a solid technical foundation and a drive to dive into the details of advanced technologies and programming languages. Strong communication skills are highly valued — the ability to discuss complex, technical problems is critical to a collaborative culture.

You'll join a dynamic, fast-paced, meritocratic environment with a flat hierarchy. No finance background is necessary or expected — you'll learn all the intricacies of how trading and technology intersect within the global financial marketplace, in a culture where learning and teaching are key.

The Candidate

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or experience

Experience building and designing distributed and scalable software in general purpose languages such as Java, Go, C++

Driven, self-starting personality, with the ability to demonstrate peer leadership and initiative early on
